Full disclosure: the idea for this post popped into my head during final meditation in yoga class.
The idea that meditation brings about several important benefits to our lives (including our work lives) is now mainstream. In fact, many companies now advocate that their employees practice meditation, due to the numerous benefits that it brings to physical, mental and emotional health, as well as productivity and stress management.
While we know, in a broad sense, that meditation is “good for us,” the ways that it will improve our individual circumstances may still be unclear. If you haven’t yet developed a daily meditation practice, you may still be wondering “what’s in it for me?”
